The SNH Species Action Framework was launched on 23rd January 2007.  This document contains a list of species which SNH will prioritise for management action (rather than research or monitoring) over the next 5 years. The list includes Blera fallax - the pine hoverfly a species also included as a Biodiversity Action Plan species and for which the Malloch Society and RSPB are lead partners. We await with interest to see what impact this initiative will have
